INCIDENCE OF KNEE PAIN IN YOUNG ADULTS WITH QUADRICEPS TIGHTNESS
Abstract
This study investigates the incidence of knee pain among young adults experiencing quadriceps tightness. Recognizing that tightness in the quadriceps can contribute to musculoskeletal issues, the research focuses on understanding its relationship with knee pain in this demographic. A cohort of young adults was assessed for quadriceps flexibility, knee pain severity, and associated functional limitations through surveys and physical examinations. Results indicate a significant correlation between quadriceps tightness and the prevalence of knee pain, highlighting the potential for tightness to exacerbate discomfort and impact daily activities. These findings emphasize the importance of addressing quadriceps flexibility in prevention and management strategies for knee pain, suggesting that targeted interventions may improve outcomes for affected individuals. Further research is recommended to explore effective treatment modalities and their long-term benefits.
